Author. Speaker. Psychologist
“My passions are helping people who have experienced trauma heal, be boldly authentic in their lives, and to reduce mental health stigma.”
A Little About Me…
I am a licensed psychologist, author, speaker, and entrepreneur. As the President and Clinical Director of Providence Residential & Outpatient PTSD Services, LLC dba PROPS, I am dedicated to revolutionizing trauma treatment. The program provides concierge wholistic treatment where trauma survivors focus on their recovery beyond the standard 28 day model, allowing them to heal and flourish. I have a passion to help those who have experienced trauma to heal and live boldly authentic lives, and to reduce mental health stigma.
Building Courage and Resilience After Trauma is the book I’ve written that combines my personal and clinical experience with trauma. I am regularly invited and available to speak on a variety of mental health topics such as anxiety, couples therapy, COVID-19, depression, PTSD, social justice, stress management, trauma, and more.
Prior to founding PROPS, I worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) where I received training and certification in two of the three trauma treatments deemed most effective by the National Center for PTSD. I was a National Consultant for Prolonged Exposure (PE) within the VA.
I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University. I am inspired by a strong family history of military and civil service. I am a resident of metro Atlanta. My husband and I have been married almost 20 years and have a blended family of three children. I am a foodie who enjoys traveling, attending concerts and music festivals, watching HGTV, and spending time with family and friends.
